Every tuning I could find attested, with the notes laid out along the string. Spacing is logarithmic, the way it actually falls on a fretless neck — the positions crowd together as you climb.

The one most often given online as the Turkish cümbüş tuning. Intervals run 4th, 2nd, 4th, 4th, 4th. The low E is a drone course more than a melody course. I could not match it exactly to a primary source, but it is coherent and plenty of players use it.
